New Professor for International Relations: Nicole Deitelhoff

Professor Nicole Deitelhoff becomes professor for international relations and theories of global regulatory policy within the Cluster of Excellence “The Formation of Normative Orders”. In addition, she will coordinate the Cluster’s graduate education programme.
Within the Cluster’s research programme Professor Deitelhoff, a founding member of the network, will focus on issues relating to global governance such as cultural diversity and competing conceptions of legitimacy.
Nicole Deitelhoff, born 1974, studied political science, law and economics at the Technical University Darmstadt and earned a master’s degree in political science at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY UB). Deitelhoff received her PhD from the TU Darmstadt in 2004, before she became research fellow at Peace Research Institute Frankfurt and research fellow at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Technology in 2005. In 2008, Deitelhoff was visiting professor for international relations at Bremen University and – until 2009 – research professor at the Collaborative Research Center "Transformations of the State" at Bremen University.
