Appointment of Professor Rossitsa Gradeva as Guest Professor

At the invitation of the Cluster of Excellence, Prof. Rossitsa Gradeva (American University in Bulgaria) has been appointed Guest Professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt for the Summer Semester 2010. The professorship has its home in the research project "Establishment of National Legal Systems in Post-ottoman South Eastern Europe" under the direction of the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History.

Prof. Gradeva is an internationally recognised expert on the history of the Ottoman Empire in Southeast Europe. She will lecture on "History and Law in Southeast Europa, 19th – beginning of 20th century" and lead an accompanying seminar.

The courses are scheduled to meet on Thursdays 12:00 - 14:00 (lecture) and 14:00 - 16:00 (seminar) in Room 2.101, RuW on the Westend Campus.
