The Structural Transformation of Democracy. A Theory of Transnational Constitutionalism
Kurzbeschreibung Forschungsthema
I am currently working on a project concerned with public and private forms of constitutionalism beyond the State.

Legal, social and political theory, constitutional theory, European integration and constitutionalisation, transnational law, global governance and world society studies, historical sociology and economic sociology.
Biografische Angaben
Poul F. Kjaer is Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Cluster of Excellence: Formation of Normative Orders. Previously he has studied and researched in sociology, law and political science at University of Aarhus (BA, MSc), Humboldt University Berlin, University of Bielefeld, European University Institute, Florence (Ph.D.), London School of Economics and Political Science, Goethe University Frankfurt and University of Bremen.
Prior to (re-)entering academia he was working in European public affairs in Brussels. He has also gained working experience at the European Commission in Brussels, The World Trade Organization Secretariat in Geneva and by the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
