Der Workshop versammelt international ausgewiesene Experten um die übergeordneten theoretischen Konzepte sowie verschiedene Fallstudien zu Entwicklungen in bestimmten internationalen Regimen zu diskutieren. In Hinblick auf ein pluralistisches Verständnis des Völkerrechts und der internationalen Beziehungen beinhaltet der Workshop auch Analysen der Rolle internationaler Institutionen in der nationalen, außenpolitischen Perspektive ausgewählter Länder. Der Workshop dient des Weiteren der Vorbereitung eines gemeinsamen Buchprojekts zum Projektthema.
